Michael Damron, P.E., LEED™ AP
Michael is a structural engineer and principal at Damron Engineering and Consulting. He has more than 25 years of experience in the design, evaluation, analysis, and repair of structural building systems for a variety of project types. Prior to beginning his career as a structural engineer, he served as a construction contractor serving the residential and commercial markets.
Having served as a project owner, a construction contractor, and a consultant working for owners, Michael has a unique perspective on the various aspects of a project. With each project, he thinks beyond his direct role and considers how his work will affect the entire life of a structure. He communicates that information and more with everyone involved in the project to meet the client’s goals.
Michael is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute where he received a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction. He is a registered professional engineer registered in Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Maine, with the ability to be licensed in any jurisdiction that may be required. He is registered with the U.S. Green Building Council and as a LEED Accredited Professional.
